In Kraken Terminal you can set alerts for price, volume levels or special technical analysis (TA) alerts. When an alert triggers, the alerts menu opens, flashes and a sound plays to get your attention.
Price alerts can let you know if a key support or resistance level has been broken. High volume levels can indicate legitimate reversals. TA alerts let you know when the asset price has interacted with a key indicator. But most importantly, they let you unglue your eyes from the charts for a while.
Clicking Create Alert or the + button in the top-right of the Alerts panel opens the alerts editor where you can choose:
- whether the alert is for price, volume or TA
- the parameters defining when the alert will trigger
- what is triggered by the alert — Kraken Terminal clients can choose browser and sound alerts
TA alerts tip: Open the Analysis menu and use the parameters found in the "Inputs" tab of your chosen indicator to help you fill out the alert editor.

Alerts appear on the y-axis of the price chart, signified by their price or volume level and an arrow. You can also adjust alerts by dragging them up or down the y-axis.
To erase an alert using the chart, hover over it and right-click or control-click (depending on your device), then select Remove This Alert from the menu.
