Signing in with your email

You can now use your email address to sign in via Kraken!

We understand that remembering usernames can sometimes be a hassle, and we want to ensure a seamless experience for our users. This update will simplify the sign-in process, reduce the chances of forgetting usernames and make accessing your Kraken account quicker than ever before.

This feature is automatically enabled for new accounts and accounts that did not have a Global Settings Lock (GSL) enabled as of June 21st, 2023.

This feature is currently only available on the Kraken Interface and Kraken Classic interface and will soon be available on Kraken Pro and our mobile apps.

Can I opt out of this change to allow signing in with just my username?

If you prefer to continue signing in with your username only and restrict the new email sign-in option, we've got you covered! Simply follow these steps to change your sign-in method back to how it was before:

    Navigate to your security settings.

    Toggle the sign-in method to Username only.

To re-enable email sign-in:
This feature is turned on by default.

On the Kraken interface:

    Sign in to your account.

    Click on the profile icon in the top right corner of your screen.

    Navigate to Security.

  4. 4

    Toggle the sign-in method from Username only to Email address and username.

On the Kraken Classic interface:

    Sign in to your account.

    Click on your name in the top right corner of your screen.

    Navigate to Security.
