Kraken allows you to create an account quickly and securely using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. This eliminates the need to create and remember a password during the initial signup process and uses the trusted security of your identity provider.
Go to Kraken’s sign up page or in-app.
Select the Apple or Google buttons.
When the Apple prompt appears, choose:
Share My Email, or Hide My Email* (Apple will generate a relay email address).
Approve the sign-in using:
You will be securely redirected back to Kraken and your account will be created automatically.
*If you select Hide My Email, be sure to whitelist your Apple relay email address to prevent Kraken emails from going to your spam folder. Messages will be delivered to the private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com, which is not a Kraken domain.
Go to Kraken’s sign up page or in-app.
Select Sign in with Google.
Choose the Google account you want to use.
Approve the login request if prompted (password, device confirmation, or 2-Step Verification).
You will be redirected back to Kraken and your account will be created instantly.
Please note:
You must have access to the selected Google account to continue.
An Apple ID or Google account can be linked to only one Kraken account at a time. This means you cannot use the same Apple ID or Google account to create or sign in to multiple Kraken accounts.
Closing an account won't auto disconnect the identity provider. If you need to create a new account with the same Identity Provider you will first need to disconnect that identity provider from the account currently connected.
You can also connect an identity provider (Apple or Google) to an existing Kraken account.
Go to Settings - Security.
Select Connect with Apple or Connect with Google.
Once connected, you’ll be able to sign in using either method: Apple or Google login and your Kraken account credentials.
Accounts created using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google can set a Kraken password at any time by going to Settings and then Security.
Setting a password is optional. If you choose to set one, you’ll be able to sign in either using Apple/Google, or your email and Kraken password.
Kraken will always request your 2FA code, regardless of whether you sign in with Apple, Google, or your password.
If you originally created or connected your Kraken account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, you can disconnect it at any time and switch to signing in with your Kraken email and password instead.
Log in to your Kraken account using your current Apple/Google login.
Go to Settings - Security.
If you haven’t already, set a Kraken password.
Once a password is set, select Unlink Apple account or Unlink Google account, and confirm.
After disconnecting, you’ll sign in directly with your email and Kraken account credentials.
If you signed up using Apple’s Hide My Email, you will be required to change your email address before unlinking.
If you lose access to the identity provider you used to sign up (for example, you can’t access your Apple ID or Google account anymore), you may not be able to log in via the Sign in with Apple/Google.
If you have access to your email address:
Open Kraken’s sign in page.
Complete a password reset.
Sign in as usual with your new password.
Once you have regained access to your Kraken account, you should unlink the Identity Provider (Apple or Google) they cannot access anymore from settings - Security
If you do not have access to your email address:
Please contact support here:

Please note:
You only need to submit the Lost Access form if:
You cannot sign in with your Identity provider anymore and you cannot reset the password of your Kraken account.
This could happen if you have tied your email to Apple's Hide my Email and you do not receive Kraken's emails anymore (not even in your spam).
If your Kraken account uses a separate, valid email, you should be able to sign in normally after resetting your password - no form needed.
