As a security precaution, withdrawals in any currency of up to 100% of your first ACH online banking purchase will be locked for 72 hours. This means that if your first ACH online banking purchase was $1,000, you will not be able to withdraw the equivalent of $1,000 in either cash or crypto for the following 72 hours. Additional ACH online banking purchases made during this 72 hours will also be locked for the remainder of the 72 hours.
With ACH online banking it is possible to purchase a range of cryptocurrencies.

ACH Purchase fees:
Kraken fees for buying, selling, or converting assets using your online banking consists of a displayed fee and, where applicable, a spread which is included in the price. Any spread is calculated before orders are executed and may differ for similar transactions. This is because the spread is determined based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to transaction size, asset, payment method and market conditions.
There are no hidden or additional fees and the total value shown on the Confirmation page is what Kraken will charge to your bank account. Any additional bank charges are outside of our control.
ACH transaction limits:
- There is a $10 minimum per transaction.
- Six maximum transactions per 24 hours.
- $10,000 maximum spending within a time-based seven day rolling period.
- A maximum of three bank accounts can be connected at any given time.
For clients using Chase bank: please ensure that the connection authorization with Trustly is not terminated within your online banking.
If the payment cannot be collected from your bank account, Kraken may recover the unpaid funds from your crypto assets or via a collection agency.
