Kraken Prop is a proprietary trading program within Kraken Pro. You complete an evaluation to prove your trading skills, then receive a funded account where you keep up to 90% of the profits you earn.
Any Kraken user located in the US, Netherlands, and France with at least basic verification (email and country) can purchase an evaluation. Identity verification on Kraken is required for funded accounts and for paying with your Kraken balance.
No. Basic verification (email and country) is enough to purchase an evaluation with a credit card. Full verification is only required when you upgrade to a funded account or want to pay with your Kraken balance.
Yes. Your Prop accounts work on both Kraken Pro web and the Kraken Pro mobile app. Your positions, orders, and balances sync across both.
No. You can take as long as you need to hit the profit target.
No. You can only have one active evaluation at a time. Complete or close your current evaluation before purchasing a new one.
All positions and pending orders are closed immediately, and the account is disabled. You'll receive a notification with the breach reason, timestamp, and equity at breach. You can purchase a new evaluation at any time after a breach.
Maximum Daily Loss (MDL) is the most your account can lose in a single trading day, it resets daily at 00:30 UTC. Maximum Drawdown (MDD) is the total loss limit for your entire account lifetime and does not reset.

Pass your evaluation by reaching the profit target without breaching the MDL or MDD. You'll then need to complete Kraken account verification, sign the Funded Trader Agreement, and pass a brief manual review.

The default is 80/20, you keep 80% of profits. You can upgrade to 90/10 at the time of evaluation purchase for an additional 10% of the base plan price.

Yes. All fees reduce your account balance, which affects your drawdown and daily loss calculations.
From your funded Prop account in Kraken Pro, click "Request Payout" and select your desired amount. You must have no open positions or orders, and your balance must equal your equity.
Payouts are transferred to your main Kraken Pro wallet as an internal ledger transfer. From there, you can withdraw to an external wallet through Kraken's standard withdrawal process.
Typically under 12 hours, guaranteed within 24 hours.
Payouts are processed in USD or USDG to your Kraken wallet. You can then convert or withdraw from your Kraken balance as you normally would.

Make sure you're on a funded account (not an evaluation), you have no open positions or orders, and your balance equals your equity.
Your funded account is created with trading disabled until you complete verification, sign the Funded Trader Agreement, and pass manual review. Check your email for the DocuSign contract and complete verification if prompted. Allow up to 24 hours after completing both steps.
Remember that commission fees apply on both sides of a trade (opening and closing), and margin funding fees accrue every 4 hours on open positions. Both fee types reduce your balance and count toward MDL and MDD.
The account may have been breached or closed. Breached/closed accounts remain visible for 7 days and then are removed from the account switcher. Check your account status in the account list.
If your balance and equity differ, you have unrealized P&L from open positions. Close all positions for your balance and equity to converge.
