How to unlock US Derivatives

You can unlock derivatives trading directly from Kraken Pro in a few simple steps. Completing the unlock process gives you access to both margin and futures trading in one go.

Log in to your Kraken account on Kraken Pro (Web or mobile).

On the Trade tab, use the market selector to navigate to a futures or margin market.

Select the Unlock at the top of the order form.

Answer a few short questions about your financial background and trading experience.

Read and accept the risk disclosures and agreements.

If you’re eligible for futures trading in the US, a success message will display. Select Trade now to start trading futures on Kraken Pro.
Note: You must have a verified Kraken account before unlocking futures and margin trading.
