My account is compromised, what should I do?

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

    Complete the Account Security & Sign-in Issues form.

    1. In the ‘What is your main account issue right now?’ dropdown, select ‘I'm concerned about suspicious activity related to my account’.
    2. Answer all questions honestly and provide as much detail as possible.

    Once you submit a support ticket, our team of security specialists will follow up via email to guide you through the process of securing your Kraken account and your email.

Other helpful steps:

  • Secure your email and devices.

    1. Change your email account passwords and add (or change) the two-factor authentication method used.
    2. Scan your computer and devices for malware/keyloggers and update your devices to the latest software version.
  • Reset your Kraken password.

    1. If you have lost access to your email account, skip this step.
  • If your debit card was connected to your Kraken account and you believe it was used for unauthorized transactions, notify your bank immediately.
