Krak is an app from Kraken that makes it easy to send, save, and spend without the friction of traditional banking. With Krak, you can use 300+ assets to pay your friend for last night’s pizza or send money to your family overseas.

Krak is not a bank, but a global money app. This means no account numbers are needed to transfer your assets. Instead, your unique identifier is your Kraktag, which can be used to send crypto or cash to other Krak users.

Krak is a standalone app making it easier to send, save, and spend freely worldwide. Krak will be separate from other Kraken mobile apps, meaning you will have to download the Krak app to access it.

Yes! Although Krak is an independent app from the current Kraken product suite, if you have an existing Kraken account you can sign in to Krak with your Kraken username, password and 2FA. 

Note: Your existing Kraken account balance will be segregated from your Krak account balance, meaning you will need to transfer your existing funds or deposit new funds to your Krak balance.

Once your Krak account is created, you will be able to use your newly created Krak credentials to sign in to both Krak and Kraken.
