Import a wallet to Kraken Wallet

If you already have an existing wallet you can import it to Kraken Wallet with your 12-24 Secret Recovery Phrase (SRP).

Please be aware that if you import your SRP to Kraken Wallet, there is no impact to your existing wallet. Your wallet will remain active across any wallet provider that you have imported your SRP to, unless you choose to uninstall or delete your other wallet provider(s).

Always exercise caution when importing a wallet or handling your Secret Recovery Phrase (SRP).

Your SRP provides full access to your wallet's assets. It is crucial that you store your SRP somewhere safe and never share it with anyone.

How to import your existing wallet to Kraken Wallet:

To import an existing wallet, you will need your SRP.

Note: Kraken Wallet does not currently support the ability to import private keys or passphrases (i.e., unique hidden wallets).

Once you have obtained your Secret Recovery Phrase, follow these steps:

    Download the official Kraken Wallet mobile app from the App Store for iPhone or the Google Play Store for Android devices.

    Open the app and tap Import. (Note: the Create wallet option will create a new wallet with a new Secret Recovery Phrase)

    Enter your SRP and tap Import.

    Secure your Kraken wallet with Biometrics (FaceID or finger scan). Or, you may choose to tap Skip.

    Tap Agree & Continue to complete your wallet import.
