Verification Requirements for Kraken Prop

This is the minimum needed to get started with Kraken Prop.

What you need: A verified email address and your country of residence.

What it lets you do:

• Purchase an evaluation using a credit card
• Trade on your evaluation account
• Access the full Prop trading terminal

What it does not let you do:

• Pay with your Kraken balance
• Open a funded account
• Request payouts

Full verification is equal to Kraken's standard identity verification, which includes a government-issued ID check.

What you need: Complete the full verification process through your Kraken account settings. This involves submitting identification documents.

What it lets you do (in addition to Basic):

• Pay for evaluations using your Kraken balance (USD)
• Receive a funded account after passing an evaluation
• Request and receive payouts to your Kraken account

You do not need full verification to start trading on Kraken Prop. You only need it when you're ready to move to a funded account or want to pay with your Kraken balance.

If you pass your evaluation without full verification, you'll be prompted to complete verification as part of the funded account activation process. Your funded account will not be activated until verification is complete.

You can view your current verification status in your Kraken account settings.

On Kraken Pro web, click the profile icon in the top-right corner, then click Settings. Then, look under the "Verification" section. It will display your current verification status.

On the Kraken Pro App, tap the More button in the bottom-right corner, then tap your name at the top. Next, tap Account details to view your verification status.
