Midnight Futures Trading Challenge

The Midnight Futures Trading Challenge is a promotion run by Kraken Derivatives for a 30-day period.

During the challenge, participants’ trading volume on the NIGHT perpetual futures contract (NIGHT Perp) will be tracked.

At the end of the challenge, the first 1,000 eligible participants will receive a $NIGHT token airdrop, based on their total qualifying trading volume.

Participation is limited to 1,000 users on a first-come, first-served basis.

No. With leverage, you can reach higher volume with less capital.

For example, with $200 and 25× leverage, you can open a $5,000 position.
Opening and closing that position generates $10,000 in total trading volume.
Repeat this five times during the challenge and you reach $50,000 total volume — without needing to deposit $50,000.

You will receive the $NIGHT reward that corresponds to your NIGHT Perp trading volume during the challenge:

Airdrops will be distributed within 7 days after the challenge ends.

Rewards are paid directly in $NIGHT tokens into your Kraken Spot Wallet, and can be traded or withdrawn according to normal platform rules.

Anyone who:

• is in an eligible location (see list below),
• has a Kraken account verified to at least Intermediate,
• is eligible to trade crypto futures on Kraken Pro, and

All executed trades on the eligible contract during the challenge count toward total trading volume — whether they come from one large position or many smaller ones.

Trading volume is measured by the notional value of each executed trade (contract size × fill price).
Your margin balance does not affect the volume calculation.

Yes.
Both the opening side and the closing side of a position count toward your total tracked trading volume.

If you already have a Kraken account and have unlocked futures trading:

2. Verify your identity
   Your account must be at least Intermediate level.
3. Fund your Multi-Margin futures wallet
   Transfers between wallets are free and instant.
4. Trade NIGHT Perp
   Only NIGHT Perp trading volume during the challenge counts toward rewards.

If you don’t have an account yet, create one and complete the steps above before the challenge ends.

• Only one trading account is allowed per person or entity.
• Rewards are available only to the first 1,000 participants who click “Join Now.”
• Each participant can only receive one reward tier.
• Sub-account trading volume is aggregated into the master account.
• Kraken reserves the right to disqualify participants who abuse the Promotion, including through multi-accounting, wash trading, or volume manipulation.
