Telegram chat trading

Trade crypto directly from Telegram using Kraken's chat trading bot. Send a simple command, get a live quote, confirm, and your trade is executed on Kraken, all without leaving the chat.
What is Telegram chat trading?
Telegram chat trading lets you buy and sell crypto through a conversational environment on Telegram. Instead of navigating charts or order forms, you send natural-language commands (like "Buy 0.1 BTC") to the Kraken Trading Bot and receive real-time pricing powered by Kraken's trading infrastructure.
Every trade uses real Kraken pricing and settlement. Your trades are secure, authenticated, and fully tracked in your Kraken account.
Note:
Telegram chat trading is designed for fast, mobile-first moments when you want to execute quickly without opening an app. It is not a replacement for Kraken Pro or the full Kraken trading experience.
Who can use Telegram chat trading?
To use Telegram chat trading, you need:
A verified Kraken account
A Telegram account
Your Telegram account linked to your Kraken account (see "Getting started" below)
Getting started
For the smoothest experience, ensure you are signed into the Kraken Pro App, and the Telegram App. Additionally, your Kraken account will need to be verified in order to connect to Telegram.

Open the Kraken Pro App, then tap the More tab on the bottom right of the screen.

Tap Telegram Chart Trading under the Trade section.

Tap Link Telegram account.

On the next page you’ll see two steps. For step one, tap the Open Telegram button. This will open the Telegram app where a chat with the Kraken Trading Bot opens automatically.

Once you are in the chat, send the following message:
“Get user ID”

After sending this message, the Telegram bot will send you a 10 digit code. Copy this code, then return to the Kraken Pro app and enter it in the Telegram ID box. After you’ve input this number, tap Continue.

Next, you may need to enter your sign-in 2FA or passkey.
After this, copy the registration message shown. You can use the copy button on the right side to copy the message to your clipboard. After you’ve copied the message, tap Open Telegram.

Paste the registration message and send it to the Kraken Trading Bot.

Congrats! Your Kraken account is securely linked to your Telegram session. You're ready to trade.

Sign into your account on pro.kraken.com, then click the profile icon in the top-right corner, then Settings.

Scroll down to Telegram Chart Trading in the Eligibility section, and click Unlock.

Click Link Telegram account.

Now you may either scan the QR code with your phone, or click the URL under the QR code. This will take you to the Kraken Trading Bot on Telegram mobile or desktop respectively.

Once you are in the chat, send the following message:
“Get user ID”

After sending this message, the Telegram bot will send you a 10 digit code. Copy this code, then return to Kraken Pro and enter it in the Telegram ID box. After you’ve input this number, click Continue.

Next, you’ll be given a registration message. You can simply scan the QR code or click the open Telegram link. The bot conversation will open with the registration message pre-filled, just hit send.

Congrats! Your Kraken account is securely linked to your Telegram session. You're ready to trade.

In the Telegram chat with the Kraken Trading Bot, type a command with the asset, amount, and direction. For example:
Buy 0.1 BTC
ETH 1.5 sell
BTC buy 0.1
The bot supports flexible, natural-language formatting, so the order of terms does not need to be exact.

Review your quote
The bot will return a real-time quote with the price and details of your trade. For example:
"Buy 0.1 BTC at $XX,XXX? Reply Yes within 10 seconds to confirm."
Quotes are valid for 10 seconds. If you do not confirm in time, the quote expires and you can request a new one.

Confirm and execute
Reply Yes (or tap the confirmation button) within the quote window to execute. Once confirmed:
The trade is executed and settled instantly on Kraken.
The bot sends you a confirmation message with the trade details.
If the quote expires or you send an invalid response, the bot will let you know and prompt you to request a new quote.

Security and authentication
Telegram chat trading is built with multiple layers of security:
Authenticated sessions: Your Telegram session is securely linked to your verified Kraken account. No one else can trade on your behalf through the bot.
Trade confirmation: Every trade requires explicit confirmation before execution. No trades are placed automatically.
Encryption: All communication with the bot uses Telegram's built-in encryption.
Audit trail: Every trade is logged and tracked in your Kraken account history.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your Telegram trading session, unlink your account immediately through the Kraken app and contact Kraken Support.
