Deposit and withdrawal limits by verification level

Your funding limits depend on many factors like your residency, verification level and the asset you're trying to deposit or withdraw.

How limits work

Limits are calculated separately for cryptocurrencies vs cash.
•
Limits are calculated separately for deposits vs withdrawals.
•
Limits are calculated on rolling periods: daily for the past 24 hours, monthly for the past 30 days, and annually for the past 365 days of activity.
•
Annual limits override monthly limits and monthly limits override daily limits.
•
All limits are displayed and calculated in USD (even for currencies other than USD).
•
The exchange rates used to determine funding limits are based on a weighted moving average for the last 24 hours.

Increasing your limits

If you have an account which is verified to Intermediate, you can increase your limits by verifying to a higher level. There is no way to increase the limits of these verification levels beyond the set values. However, if you have a personal account with Pro limits or a business account you can contact Support to get your limits increased beyond the default amount.

Cash limits

The currency limits apply to all cash Limits for instant purchase options are subject to your Kraken account limits and the instant purchase limits dependent on which method you choose. This applies to the following instant buy methods:

Remember that all limit values are calculated in USD. For example, if you have an Intermediate account and you deposit 100,000 EUR when EUR is worth more than USD, your deposit will be put on-hold for going over the daily limit.
