Important information on OCEAN (Ocean Protocol) and FET (Fetch.ai)
Kraken
Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) and Fetch.ai (FET) have announced that they will merge together as FET, before migrating to become the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI).
Kraken has chosen not to support the merger or migration of these assets on behalf of our clients at this time.
Funding and trading for OCEAN and FET will continue to be supported until further notice.

Here is what you need to know:

  1. 1.
    Phase 1: OCEAN will merge into FET on July 1, 2024. Kraken has chosen not to support this merger.
  2. 2.
    Phase 2: ASI launch and FET migrate into ASI in mid-to-late July 2024. Kraken will not support this migration.
Clients wishing to migrate their OCEAN or FET tokens to ASI must withdraw their tokens to a self-custodial wallet. Clients can also convert their tokens on Kraken to another supported token.
Note: ASI is not currently supported on Kraken.

What happens if I do nothing?

Your funds are secure. Any OCEAN or FET you hold in your account on Kraken will continue to be accessible to you to deposit, withdraw, trade and convert as usual.
