Banking Circle Funding Provider
Banking Circle is one of Kraken's funding providers that facilitates the processing of EUR transfers (via SEPA or SEPA-Instant) and GBP transfers (via Faster Payment Services). At this time, funding via Banking Circle is available to clients with accounts registered in the European Economic Area (all EU countries including Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and the United Kingdom.
Banking Circle is a fully licensed Bank offering Payments services to businesses. This funding method enables us to assign personal bank account numbers to our clients for depositing funds to their Kraken account, improving their funding experience.
Note: EUR and GBP SWIFT transfers as well as GBP CHAPS are currently not supported by Banking Circle.
Banking Circle Personal Deposit Method
When choosing the Banking Circle deposit method for the first time (GBP FPS or EUR SEPA / SEPA Instant), a message will inform you that a personal bank account number is going to be generated for depositing funds to your Kraken account.
To view the full deposit instructions together with your personal bank account number click Get deposit details. No specific reference or payment purpose is required for assigning the deposit to your Kraken account.
The personal bank account number is intended for your use only and should not be shared with any third party. Deposits sent to this account from a third party will be returned by Kraken.

Requirements
  • Your Kraken account must be verified to Intermediate or Pro.
  • Your Kraken account must be registered with an address in a European Economic Area country or in the United Kingdom.
  • For GBP funding, your bank or financial institution must be located in the United Kingdom.
  • Your bank account must be registered under the same legal name as your Kraken account.
  • Depending on your chosen funding method, your bank (or financial institution) has to be able to send & receive FPS , SEPA or SEPA Instant transfers.
  • Banking Circle currently does not support SWIFT or GBP CHAPS transfers. If you send a deposit to our account with Banking Circle via SWIFT or GBP CHAPS, it will be rejected and returned to the sending bank account.
Funding methods
Faster Payments Service (FPS)

Launched in 2009 and administered by Pay.UK, FPS is the world’s first 365-day, 24/7, real-time payments system. Short delays due to checks and processing by the sending and receiving bank may sometime apply.
Faster Payments transfers are free (for personal clients), with account holders able to send up to £1 million pounds (although lower limits may be applied by your bank).

Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA):
The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is an initiative of the European Union that allows for fast, reliable and cheap e-transfers between bank accounts in the SEPA-zone. For more details, see General Information about SEPA.
SEPA Instant:

SEPA Instant is a 24/7/365 payment scheme where transfers are settled in less than 10 seconds. If your bank supports SEPA Instant, you can send funds to and from your Kraken account in real time. Short delays due to checks and processing by the sending and receiving bank may sometime apply.
SEPA Instant Credit Transfers (SCT Ins) may incur banking charges, so please contact your bank to enquire about fees. The current maximum limit for SCT Instant is €100,000.00 per transaction. This is a limit set by the SCT Instant network and is outside of Kraken's control.
