You can set up recurring transactions to automatically buy crypto on a daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly schedule.
Requirements
To be eligible to set up a recurring order, your account must be verified to a tier that supports payments with cash: Business, Intermediate or Pro.
Supported payment methods
It is possible to set up a recurring order with:
- •Your cash account balance
- •Digital wallet (Apple Pay or Google Pay)
- •Card payments for AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP and USD.
Fees
The transaction fee for recurring orders is displayed on the final confirmation page, and is visible before you complete your purchase.
How to set up a recurring order
- 1.Open the Kraken app and tap on the Trade button, followed by the Buy button.
- 2.Tap on or search for the asset you would like to set up a recurring order for. In this example we’ll use Bitcoin (BTC).
- 3.On the next screen enter the amount you would like to buy.
- 4.You’ll then have the option to set a schedule, buy now, daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly. We’ll use monthly for this example.Tap Monthly, you can either start the order Now or later, by tapping Set the time.
- 5.If specifying a time, enter the date and time that you would like your order to be executed on. Tap Confirm.
- 6.Next tap the arrow button beside your payment method. Review the order and tap Confirm.
- 7.That’s it! Once your order has been confirmed you can view, pause or cancel it at any time. View how to do this below.
Important:
- •The total cost, fees and amount received on recurring transactions might vary due to market price fluctuation.
- •You will be notified by email when you set up a recurring order, as well as when a recurring transaction takes place.
How to view
Go to Activity, there you will be able to see all your current recurring orders.
How to edit
- 1.Go to Activity, and tap your recurring orders.
- 2.Next, tap the order you would like to edit.
- 3.Tap the Edit button and you will be able to update the price and frequency of your order.

How to resume
- 1.Go to your recurring orders. You’ll see a paused icon on your paused order.
- 2.Tap this order. Then tap the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right corner, and tap Resume.
How to cancel
- 1.To cancel an order, go to activity and find your recurring order.
- 2.Next, tap the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right corner, and tap Cancel.
Failed or declined transactions
Some recurring transactions may fail. Reasons for failure include:
- •Insufficient funds in your Kraken account balance
- •Adverse market conditions.
- •System error (check status.kraken.com to see if known system issues exist)
