How to send cash or crypto with Krak

You can send funds with Krak through the Send button, or by selecting one of your contacts. The process is similar for sending cash or crypto, when sending funds, you can select which currency to pay with using the currency selector.

    Tap Send in the bottom-right of the app homepage.

    Select the recipient you want to send funds to. You can search by Kraktag, email, or phone. You may also send money via paylink, paylinks allow you to send money to someone even if they don’t have a Krak account.

    Note: List of recipients are existing Krak users. If a recipient is not available, they have to sign up with Krak and create a Kraktag to be available. Click here for information on Recipients without a Kraken account.

    If you have previous transfers with the selected recipient, you can select the relevant transfer to send again. If you’d like to send a different amount, tap the purple Send button as shown below.

    Review the transfer details, tap Send, and your recipient will immediately receive their funds! If you’d like, you may include a note for the transaction.

    Open the Krak app.

    On the home screen, you’ll notice your contacts located at the top. You may scroll through these contacts side to side, and tap any contact to begin a payment to them.

    After tapping one of your contacts, a window will appear where you can send or request funds, tap Send.

    After tapping Send, you can enter the amount of your default currency that you’d like to send, or you can quickly tap one of the preset amounts.

    Lastly, swipe the arrow icon to the right to initiate the transaction.

    Open the Krak app and sign in to your account.

    Check your notifications: Tap the dropdown notification you received. Or go to your Notifications (Top-right bell icon).

    At the top of the page, any pending requests that have been sent to you will be displayed. You’ll see the requester’s name, the requested amount, and any note they included. As well as the option to Accept or Decline.

    Tap “Accept” to view the transaction summary, then tap the arrow on the bottom right to send the requested funds. That’s it!

After you confirm, you’ll receive a confirmation message that the payment has been sent. If you need to see more details (like the transaction ID), you may find the transaction on the home page in your history. Tap it to view a summary.

    Open the Krak app.

    Search for the asset you’d like to send in the search bar on top of the page.

    Tap the Send button at the bottom of the asset page.

    If it’s your first time using Krak, you will need to create a unique Kraktag to help any potential new senders find you. (You may change your Kraktag later on.)

    Enter the amount of funds in your default currency to send and tap Continue (or you can select a different currency). You can send more than your current holdings, by choosing an alternative asset later on to fund with.

    Select or search for your intended recipient across Kraken users. Select the Kraktag or email that you want to send to. If a recipient is not available, they have to sign up with Kraken and create a Kraktag to be available - see instructions in Recipient without a Kraken account below.

    Review the transfer details and add a note if required, then tap Send and your recipient will instantly receive their funds!
