My device with Kraken Wallet was lost or stolen

If your device is lost or stolen, act as soon as possible.

  1. 1

Install Kraken Wallet on a secure replacement device.

  2. 2

Select Import existing wallet and enter your recovery phrase, or select Restore from cloud if you created an encrypted cloud backup.

  3. 3

Confirm that your wallets and accounts appear.

  4. 4

If you believe someone may know your recovery phrase or device passcode, create a new wallet and transfer your assets to it.

  1. 1

Install Kraken Wallet on a secure replacement device.

  2. 2

Sign in using the same email, Google, Apple, or passkey method.

  3. 3

Confirm that your embedded wallets appear.

  4. 4

Secure or revoke access to the account used to sign in if you believe it was compromised.

Also use Apple or Google's device-management tools to lock or erase the missing device when possible. Kraken cannot remotely lock a self-custody wallet or recover a missing recovery phrase.
