How to use the Markdown module

The Markdown module in Kraken Desktop allows you to conveniently add text, images, and links to your board. Markdown is a simple formatting language. Even if you've never used Markdown before, it’s easy to pick up and can significantly enhance your trading experience by clearly organizing notes, visual references, and helpful resources.

Kraken Desktop's Markdown module supports a range of formatting abilities:

  • Bold text (**bold**)

  • Italic text (*italic*)

  • Headings (#, ##, ###)

  • Bullet points (- item 1, - item 2)

  • Numbered lists (1. item 1, 2. item 2)

  • Links ([Link Text](https://example.com))

  • Images (![Image description](https://image.url))

  • Images as clickable links ([![Alt text](image-url)](link-url))

  • Blockquotes (> quote text)

Adding images to your Markdown module is quick:

    Click Choose images or simply copy and paste your image onto the webpage.

    Once uploaded, scroll down to the Markdown text.

    Click the copy button next to the Markdown format (starting with !).

    Paste the copied Markdown code into your Kraken Desktop Markdown module. Then click Confirm.

  • Technical Analysis: Attach images of charts and indicators for easy reference.

  • Educational Resources: Link to helpful Kraken support articles or external educational resources.

You can integrate Kraken Desktop support articles directly into your board with the markdown module, creating an engaging and practical environment to enhance your understanding.   • When you share a board that contains a Markdown module, the contents of your Markdown module will be included with the shared board.
