Borrowing through Kraken Flexline allows you to access liquidity when you need it, and on your terms. Loans can be requested in just a few clicks, and the assets are credited to your account immediately.
You decide the amount you want to borrow, the currency, and the duration of the loan. (Maximum duration of 2 years)
On the left-hand navigation panel of Kraken Pro, click Loans.

At the top of the Loans page, choose the currency you want to borrow. Flexline offers loans in USDG, USDC, BTC, ETH, and more. For this example, we will conduct a USDG loan, although the process is very similar for all currencies.

After selecting the currency you’d like to borrow, you’ll be presented with a line chart, an order form, and an information panel on the right side.

First, you’ll want to select the Loan duration. You can do this by using the slider on the chart (to visualize the annual interest rate), or, you can enter it directly in the form below the chart. In this example, we’ve chosen 200 days.

Then, enter the amount you’d like to borrow, in the Amount box. In this example, we’ve entered 50,000 USDG. At this point, we have a 200 day loan for 50,000 USDG filled out.

Now, you’ll want to ensure that you review the information panel on the right side. Here is where you can review critical information about the loan, and how it will affect your portfolio leverage.

Note: When borrowing USDG, you will have the option to Auto-convert to USD. When enabling this, your USDG loan will automatically be converted to USD (cash) instantly, at no fee. However your loan remains due in USDG and interest payments will continue to be charged in USDG. If there is insufficient quantity in your main main wallet, other assets will be converted to cover these payments.
Lastly, click Review to take a final look at the loan information. If everything looks right, and you agree to the terms, click Confirm.

That’s it! Your borrowed assets will now appear in your spot balance. You can view your balances here.
Tap on the More button in the bottom-right corner of the Kraken Pro App. Then, tap Loans in the Tools & more section.
