Changes to PHA (Phala) support on Kraken

We updated support for PHA (Phala) on Kraken, which was previously available on three chains: Ethereum (ERC20), the Phala Network, and the Khala Network.

Our platform supported PHA funding on the Khala Network and spot trading for PHA/USD and PHA/EUR.

What changed?

In alignment with the Phala team’s plan to sunset the Khala Network, Kraken discontinued PHA funding (deposits and withdrawals) on the Khala Network effective Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 3PM UTC.

Note:

Spot trading for PHA (PHA/USD, PHA/EUR) remained available.

What happened next?

We collaborated with the Phala team to transition our PHA balances from the Khala Network to Ethereum (ERC20) on a 1:1 basis. Once this migration was complete, we enabled PHA deposits and withdrawals on Ethereum (ERC20).
