Available Markets

Kraken Prop offers trading on crypto contracts. These are derivatives that track the price of the underlying cryptocurrency and have no expiration date.

Contracts let you go long or short on a cryptocurrency without actually holding the underlying asset. Unlike futures contracts, you can hold a position for as long as you want (though funding fees apply to open positions).

The full list of available trading pairs is shown in the market selector in the top left of the trading terminal. Select any pair to view its chart, order book, and place trades.

All markets available on Kraken Prop use the same fee structure: 4 basis points (0.04%) commission per side, and 0.033% per day in margin funding fees on open positions.

  • Chart data shows OHLC (open, high, low, close) candlestick prices.
  • Mark price is the real-time reference price used for position valuation and P&L calculations.
  • Order book displays live bid and ask prices and depth.

Each market has a maximum position size denominated in USD. This limit is enforced at the time you place an order.

If your order would push your total position in that market past the limit, it will be rejected with a notification. Reduce your order size and try again.
