How to deposit assets into a Vault on Krak

Vaults on Krak allow you to earn variable yield on your assets through onchain lending markets, directly from Krak. Depositing (also called “transferring in”) moves funds from your Everyday balance into your self-custodial Vault, where they begin earning automatically.

Before you begin:

    You’ll need a verified Krak account with available funds in your Everyday balance.

    Deposits require a passkey or Face ID for confirmation.

  • •

    Vaults use non-custodial wallets, meaning only you can transfer assets in or out. Our support team cannot transfer funds for you.

    Open the Vault card:

    On the home page of Krak, tap on the Get started or Start earning button within the Vault card under the “Accounts” section.

    Tap Transfer In: 

    Next, you’ll want to tap the Transfer in button. This will begin the deposit process.

    Review the Vault explainer:

    The first time you enter, you’ll see an overview explaining how Vaults work. Tap Next or Continue to move to the next screen.

    Choose your strategy:
    You’ll be asked to choose how you want to grow your USDC, a summary of each strategy can be found below.

    Balanced YieldLower risk, lower variable returns. Focuses on blue-chip DeFi protocols with stable performance.
    Boosted YieldBalanced approach that seeks steady yield while taking on slightly higher risk.
    Advanced StrategiesDesigned for clients comfortable with higher volatility. Targets newer DeFi opportunities with a potential for higher returns, although they are not guaranteed.

    Each option shows the current estimated APY (which is variable and may change) and a short description. Tap your preferred strategy and then confirm using the button at the bottom.

    Enter the deposit amount:

    First, enter the amount you’d like to deposit. You can fund the Vault with any supported asset (cash or stablecoin), and Krak will automatically convert it to USDC if needed.

    After entering the amount you’d like to deposit, tap the arrow button.

    Review your deposit details and confirm:

    After tapping the arrow, you’ll be brought to the confirmation page, where you can review details such as your estimated earnings and deposit amount. If a conversion is required, you’ll also see the conversion details here.

    If you’re satisfied with your deposit, tap Confirm.

    (Note: If it’s your first time, you may need to accept terms by checking the box above the confirm button)

    Complete verification:

    After confirming, you’ll be required to receive a One Time Passcode (OTP) from our  security provider Privy. Check your email (the one you used to sign up for Krak) for a 6 digit code.

    Then, enter the code on Krak.

    Complete!

    Congratulations, you’ve now deposited your funds into a Vault! You’ll see a confirmation message once complete.
