How many API keys can I generate?

Using multiple API keys has several benefits, such as:

  • •

    the ability to separate different tasks (trading versus funding, for example),

  • •

    avoiding nonce conflicts when using multiple devices/apps,

  • •

    providing read only versus read/write access to your account,

  • •

    increasing the account management rate limits.

The number of API keys that you can generate and use simultaneously depends upon the verification level of your account. The maximum number of API keys per account type are as follows:

Note that API keys can be created/edited/deleted as often as necessary, but a key's public/private values will only be shown once during the initial creation (it is not possible to retrieve an API key's public/private values when editing a key's permissions, for example).
