In November 2023, the Aragon Association announced the ANT Redemption Initiative, allowing all ANT holders to redeem ANT for ETH at a fixed rate of 0.0025376 ETH : 1 ANT. This ETH redemption rate and the contract to redeem ETH are both independently provided by the Aragon Association.
We’re took our first steps towards supporting this objective on behalf of Kraken clients, by delisting ANT, converting all ANT on our platform to ETH, and then distributing that ETH back to eligible users.
What’s changing?
At 14:00 PM UTC on September 25, 2024 we delisted all ANT markets (ANT/EUR, ANT/USD, ANT/BTC, ANT/ETH) on Kraken, and deposits and withdrawals for ANT were closed. Please note that any deposits of ANT made after this date will be lost.
Any clients holding ANT at the time of this delisting were automatically included in this redemption process, no further action by you is required.
What’s next?
At 14:00 PM UTC on October 4, 2024, we distributed ETH to eligible users who held ANT at the time of delisting on September 25, 2024, at the fixed redemption rate of 0.0025376 ETH : 1 ANT. Upon completion, the commensurate amount of ETH was deposited directly into your Kraken account.
