What Happens When Your Account is Breached

A breach occurs when your account equity drops to or below either your Daily loss limit (MDL breach) or your Drawdown limit (MDD breach). Breaches are detected and enforced automatically in real time.

When a breach is detected:

  1. All open positions are closed. Every position on the account is closed at market price immediately.
  2. All pending orders are cancelled. Any open limit, stop loss, or take profit orders are removed.
  3. Trading is disabled. You can no longer place orders or open positions on this account.
  4. Account status changes to Breached. This is reflected in your account switcher and on the Overview page.

This entire process happens automatically within seconds of the breach condition being met.

You'll receive notifications through all enabled channels:

  • Email with the breach reason, timestamp, and your equity at the time of breach.
  • In-app notification on web and mobile (if enabled).
  • Push notification on mobile (if enabled).

The breach details are also visible in the Overview page, where your account will show a Closed or Archived status alongside the final account metrics.

After a breach, your account remains visible in the account switcher for 7 days. During this window you can:

  • View your final balance, equity, and P&L on the Overview page
  • Review your trade history, orders, and ledger on the History page
  • See the breach reason and timestamp

After 7 days, the account moves to the Closed section on the Overview page with an Archived status, where you can still see summary metrics.

There is no waiting period or cooldown after a breach. You can purchase a new evaluation immediately by clicking Buy new evaluation on the Overview page or navigating to the Prop purchase screen.

Your previous breach does not affect your eligibility for new evaluations, as long as you don't already have an active evaluation in progress and your total funded capital is under the $200,000 limit.

Breaches are system-enforced based on real-time equity data. The MDL and MDD thresholds are absolute, so there is no appeals process for automated breaches.
