A self-custodial wallet allows you to manage your own digital assets independently, giving you full control of your NFTs outside a centralized marketplace. By moving your NFTs to a self-custodial wallet, you ensure they are accessible even after the Kraken NFT marketplace shuts down.
There may be network fees associated with transferring NFTs to a self-custodial wallet. These fees are charged by the blockchain network and not by Kraken.
No, after November 27, 2024, the marketplace will be in withdrawal-only mode, meaning you will not be able to buy, sell, list, or bid on NFTs. The only option available will be to withdraw your NFTs to a self-custodial wallet.
