Ivy Funding Provider

Ivy is an European financial technology company that provides open banking solutions, enabling seamless, and instant bank transfers for Kraken clients in the European Economic Area.

Requirements

To use Ivy, your Kraken account must meet the following requirements:

  • Verification level: your Kraken account must be verified as an Intermediate or Pro level account.
  • Account ownership: ensure the name on the bank account you are funding from matches the name on your Kraken account.
  • Geographic restrictions: you must reside and have a bank account in a region that is supported by Ivy. You will have a list of banks supported by Ivy to select from. If your bank is not on the list, Ivy doesn’t support your bank yet.

Funding Instructions

  1. Sign in to your Kraken account, click on Transfer then select Deposit button
  2. The first dropdown will be pre-populated with your available crypto or cash balance. To deposit EUR search for EUR and click on it.
  3. To fund with Ivy, click Easy bank transfer. If you wish to fund your account with another funding method, select Manual bank transfer.
  4. Enter the amount you wish to fund your account with and click Continue.
  5. Select your bank and continue the authorization process.
  6. Once you have successfully authenticated with your bank, your transfer will be initiated.
  7. Once your transaction has been successfully processed the funds will appear in your account under the Activity or Deposit tab.

Funding methods

The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is a payment-integration initiative of the European Union that allows for fast, reliable and cheap e-transfers between bank accounts in the SEPA-zone. For more details, see General Information about SEPA.

SEPA Instant is a 24/7/365 payment scheme where transfers are settled in less than 10 seconds. If your bank supports SEPA Instant, you can send funds to and from your Kraken account in real time. Short delays due to checks and processing by the sending and receiving bank may sometimes apply.

SEPA Instant Credit Transfers (SCT Ins) may incur banking charges, so please contact your bank to enquire about fees. The current maximum limit for SCT Instant is €100,000.00 per transaction. This is a limit set by the SCT Instant network and is outside of Kraken's control.

Processing times

EUR (SEPA, SEPA Instant): 0-3 business days or instant.

You will receive an automated email confirming your funds have been credited to your account. If you experience a delay or if your funds are either on hold or have not been credited to your account, please contact Support.
