Stablecoin Rewards allow eligible clients to earn rewards on supported stablecoins held in their Kraken account. Rewards accrue automatically in the background while your assets remain fully accessible. You can trade, withdraw, or move your stablecoins at any time (no lockups).

What is USDG?

USDG is a stablecoin issued by Paxos Digital Singapore Pte. Ltd. (PDS), and aims to maintain the price of 1 USD per 1 USDG. USDG can be deposited via several networks, it can also be purchased using Instant Buy, or our spot markets on Kraken Pro.

How do Stablecoin Rewards work for USDG?

As long as you hold USDG in your Kraken account, and have Stablecoin Rewards enabled, you will automatically earn USDG paid directly into your existing balance.

Limits and fees

You can hold and earn rewards on any amount of USDG. There is no minimum time required to hold USDG needed to earn rewards. There are no fees for USDG Rewards.

What is tGBP?

tGBP is a British pound sterling stablecoin issued by BCP Technologies. Each token is 1:1 backed by reserves held at UK-regulated financial institutions and is fully redeemable 1:1 for GBP at anytime. tGBP can be deposited via the Ethereum Network, it can also be purchased using Instant Buy, or our spot markets on Kraken Pro.

As long as you hold tGBP in your Kraken account, and have Stablecoin Rewards enabled, you will automatically earn tGBP paid directly into your existing balance.

As long as you hold USDC in your Kraken account, and have Stablecoin Rewards enabled, you will automatically earn USDC paid directly into your existing balance.

    Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner.

    Tap Earn Settings.

    Under the Auto Earn section, tap the Stablecoin Rewards button to turn it on.

    Click Earn Settings.

    Under the Auto Earn programs section, ensure Stablecoin Rewards is enabled.

    Tap the More button in the bottom-right corner.

    Tap your Name at the top of the page.

    Tap Earn under the Settings section.

    Under the Auto Earn section, ensure the Stablecoin Rewards toggle is on.

    Scroll down to the Rewards section, and ensure Stablecoin Rewards is enabled.

How to disable Stablecoin Rewards

Rewards are paid weekly, you’ll see your stablecoin(s) balance grow consistently each week as these rewards are credited.

Yes! Simply enable Stablecoin Rewards, and any eligible asset will start accruing rewards. There is no lockup period or extra steps.

Yes. Supported stablecoins remain fully accessible, you can trade or withdraw at any time.

You can hold and earn rewards on any amount of eligible stablecoins. There is no minimum holding period required to earn rewards.

The Stablecoin Rewards program is a loyalty initiative fully funded by Kraken, created to encourage users to hold their stablecoins with us and explore our services. Your assets are entirely under your control, and we only act on them based on your explicit instructions. We retain the right to modify or end the Stablecoins Rewards program at any time, with reasonable notice.

Your account must be verified. If your account has been restricted, you will continue to earn rewards on eligible stablecoin balances, however you may not be able to access these rewards while your account remains restricted.

Geographic restrictions apply. You can check your eligibility for Stablecoin Rewards under your country listed here. If Stablecoin Rewards is not showing as an option for your account, you may not be eligible.

Rewards below five decimal places will only display on exported ledger history, since the Kraken platform truncates to five decimal places.
