Available to Trade

When trading on Kraken Pro, the your Available to trade amount is calculated differently depending on the market type: Spot or Derivatives.

In spot markets, the amount available to trade is calculated by multiplying your available margin by the market leverage.

In derivatives markets, the amount you have available to trade is calculated by multiplying the price by the maximum order size you're allowed to place.

Note:

Both calcluations include a small buffer to help ensure reliable order execution across a range of market conditions.

    If BTC/USD is the selected currency pair, the available to trade balance will be in USD.

  • •

    If BTC/EUR is the selected currency pair, the available to trade balance will be in EUR.
