Unlock stock trading on the Kraken app

Stocks availability

Currently, stock trading is only available to U.S. clients in select states.

To unlock stock trading via the Kraken app, follow the steps below:

Open the Kraken app.

If stock trading is available to you, you'll see a prompt to Buy Stocks. Select it to begin.

You can also browse the stock list and select a specific stock, then tap Buy to proceed.

Before you start trading, you'll need to:
- Confirm some personal information.
- Answer a few questions about your financial knowledge and experience.
- Certify your tax eligibility and agree to the necessary terms.
The steps above are legally required to unlock stock trading.

Once you’ve answered all the questions, our team will review your information. We’ll let you know via email once you're approved to trade stocks.

Geographic limitations

Stocks trading is available to U.S. clients who reside in the following U.S. states:
