TL;DR: We are updating our CQT snapshot date to July 10 2024, 10:24 PM UTC. Any CQT held on Kraken at that time will be airdropped to CXT and deposited to users 1:1 on August 8 2024, 14:00 PM UTC.
We previously published our plan to use July 12 2024,12:00 PM UTC as the snapshot deadline for the airdrop of CQT to CXT, based on the information provided to us directly by the Covalent project team. The Covalent team has now independently decided to bring the snapshot date forward, despite our protests.
Covalent have now asked us to use the snapshot deadline of July 10 2024, 10:24 PM UTC as our cut-off for which CQT tokens will be included in the airdrop to CXT, and stated that the Covalent team will not provide CXT tokens to support clients impacted by this change in timings.
Any user who held CQT tokens on Kraken at 10:24 PM UTC on July 10, 2024 will receive CXT tokens at a value of 1:1.
Any CQT purchased on Kraken after 10:24 PM UTC on July 10, 2024 will not be swapped into CXT tokens because the purchase occurred after the snapshot deadline we have committed to with the Covalent team.
We will list CXT for trading on Kraken on August 8 2024, 14:00 PM UTC. Users who were captured within the July 10th snapshot will receive their full 1:1 allocation of CXT tokens in their balance when CXT is listed at this time.
The markets for CQT (CQT/USD, CQT/EUR) will remain live on Kraken, and we will make a public announcement if we choose to alter or delist the existing CQT markets on Kraken in future.
