Beholder is being retired. The onchain trading experience you knew as Beholder now lives inside Kraken Pro as DEX Trading. This article explains what's changing and where to go next.
What's changing
Beholder as a standalone product is going away. Everything it did (discovering, buying, and selling onchain assets) is moving into DEX Trading on Kraken Pro, so you can do it all without leaving the platform.
What is DEX Trading on Kraken Pro?
DEX Trading lets you buy and sell onchain assets that aren't listed on Kraken, directly within the Kraken Pro web experience. It's designed to feel like the trading you already know, while abstracting away the usual onchain complexity like gas, wallets, and bridges.
Under the hood, DEX Trading is built on the same self-custodial embedded wallet technology that powered Beholder. Swaps are gasless, so you don't need to manage a separate wallet or hold a native token just to cover network fees.
DEX Trading supports assets across multiple chains, including Ethereum, Solana, Ink, Base, Optimism, and Arbitrum.
What you need to do
To keep trading onchain assets, use DEX Trading in Kraken Pro on the web. If you were using Beholder, look for DEX Trading in your Kraken Pro account to pick up where you left off.
