Kraken's Dutch entity, Payward Continental Services Limited, has been authorised by the Central Bank of the Netherlands (De Nederlandsche Bank) as CSP (Crypto Service Provider) to provide “VASP Services” in the Netherlands.
This means that if you access VASP Services on the Kraken platform and you reside in the Netherlands, you will contract with Payward Continental Services Limited for such services as more fully described in the mark-up of the Kraken Terms of Service.

In order to reflect this change, the Kraken Terms of Service will be updated (as of 15th March) to add Payward Continental Services Limited as a Kraken service provider with respect to VASP Services for Dutch clients. In order to facilitate your continued use of VASP services on the Kraken platform, Payward Continental Services Limited will process your personal data as a data controller in line with Kraken’s Privacy Notice.
Payward Continental Services Limited has a registration with De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. (DNB) as a provider of crypto services. DNB monitors Payward Continental Services Limited’s compliance with the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act and the Sanctions Act 1977. Payward Continental Services Limited is not under prudential supervision by DNB or under conduct supervision by the AFM. This means no supervision of financial requirements or business risks and no specific financial consumer protection.
