Navigating the Kraken app
Looking for help on how to use the Kraken app? Review the topics below.
What are the tabs?

Home: Quickly view your favourite assets and find market leaders.
Explore: Search and dive into all of the assets Kraken has to offer.
Action Button: Buy, sell, deposit or withdrawal from one button.
Portfolio: Show the assets currently on your account.
Account: Change how the app functions and manage your account.
Verify your account
To verify your account on the Kraken app:

    Navigate to the homepage and select the Verify identity button at the top of the screen. Follow the steps provided to verify your account.

    To check your verification level click on the Account Logo.
  3. 3
    Then navigate to Account Details.
  4. 4
    Select Limits & features to verify your account to the Intermediate level or higher.
See your past transactions and balances
You can view your transaction history a number of ways, including:
  • On the Portfolio page, tap the clock icon in the top right corner.
  • On the Portfolio page, tap an asset to see your history of that particular asset.
  • On an Assets page, tap the Balance to see your history of that particular asset.
  • Once a purchase is complete, you can tap the amount that you purchased to see your history of that particular asset.
To view your historical portfolio, you can use the line chart view.

Click the Home button to access the line chart view. A three month view is selected by default, but you can select any time range from one month to all time.

To view your past balances, long press on the chart and drag the line left and right along the chart.

Delete saved payment cards
To delete a saved card from the app:
  1. 1
    Go to the Account page.
  2. 2
    Tap on Payment Methods.
  3. 3
    Swipe left on a saved payment card.
  4. 4
    You'll then be able to tap on Remove and confirm the deletion.
Hide your balances
If you'd like to hide your account balances and only display the percentage of each asset in your balances, you can either:
  • Go to the Account page and toggle the Hide balances option.
Device and session management
To view which devices have accessed your Kraken account, you can go to the Account tab and tap on Devices. All previous sessions are saved here and the current session is highlighted with a THIS DEVICE label. To remove a session, swipe left and confirm. If you remove the current session, it will cause you to be logged out of the app.

Recover password
If you've forgotten your password, tap the Sign in button and press Reset password. If you enter your email address, a link will be sent via email that lets you create a new password. If you are having trouble resetting your password, please contact support.
Recover username
If you've forgotten your username, tap the Sign in button and press Recover username?. If you provide your email address we will send you an email with your username. If you are having trouble recovering your username, please contact support.
Troubleshooting steps

    Make sure you are signing into the app correctly. If you are using your username and password, ensure that you are using the correct sign in 2FA.

    Make sure your Kraken app and phone are up-to-date.
  3. 4
    Some final steps to follow:
    - Force closing and re-opening the app.
    - Logging in and out of the app.
    - Restarting your device.
Change to Dark or Light theme
To change between themes, go to the Account page, tap on theme and select either the Dark or Light theme. You can also toggle the ability for the app to match your system's default setting.
Rewards
Rewards enables you to earn crypto on every eligible asset in your account. To use Rewards you simply need to turn it on and select whether you want to earn rewards from the Staking or Opt-in rewards programs, or both, across all eligible assets in your account.

Support Center
You can access the Support Center within the app for all your app-related needs. To find the Support Center:

    Tap on Account.

    Scroll down to Support and tap on Support Center.
  3. 3
    Search for your query, tap on a topic or connect with one of our specialists via chat if you can’t find what you’re looking for.
Notifications
If you want to enable notifications:

    Tap on Account.
  2. 2
    Scroll down to Notifications.
  3. 3
    Turn on push notifications to receive important events in the app.
  4. 4
    You can customize if you want to turn on Watchlist Alerts for price movements on everything you have added to your watchlist.

Haptic Feedback

    Tap on Account.
  2. 2
    Scroll down to Haptic Feedback.
  3. 3
    You can turn this on for a tactile response when interacting within the app, or leave this turned off if you prefer.
