Can I trade using Margin?

For German clients, fiat and stablecoin margin extensions are not available. However, crypto asset margin extension are available.

What this means:

You cannot buy markets with a fiat quote currency or other stablecoin quote asset. However, you can still sell using the fiat quite currency pair, e.g. BTC/USD;

or other stablecoin quote assets.

You may review all assets that will be supported for Germany here. If you have a position in a market that will not be supported, those positions will be closed after going forward.

How does this impact leverage?

The leverage for margin will not change, this means that the maximum leverage you are currently using will be retained for the position that remains, and will be the same for new positions opened going forward.

What margin pairs are affected?

Margin extensions in fiat and fiat-backed stablecoins are restricted. This means that Crypto/Crypto pairs are still available, as is the ability to short Crypto/Fiat or Crypto/Stablecoin pairs.
