What are the fees for German clients trading using margin?

As per recent changes, fiat and stablecoin margin extensions are not available for German clients. However, crypto asset margin extensions will available.

In addition to the margin fees (opening and rollover) listed below, the usual trade fee will be applied to the opening and closing volume of a spot position on margin (but there is no fee for settling a spot position on margin).

Margin fees are charged based on the total value of the amount that is extended as margin to effect the margin trade. Collateral also held in the account is not deducted from that amount.

Example

If you go Long on BTC/ETH:

We provide the ETH (used to purchase long the BTC) to open the position and thus the amount of the margin fee is based on the quantity of ETH. As we provided the ETH, the fee rate will be 0.02%

If you go Short on BTC/EUR:

Funds from our BTC margin pool are used by the client to let them short sell and thus margin fees are based on the quantity of BTC that is sold. As we provide the BTC, the fee rate will be 0.01%
