As part of an upgrade of our payment systems, we’re updating your account to a new Kraken BSB and account number on 11th February 2025. This means you’ll have a new BSB and account number for AUD deposits to your Kraken account.
What’s a BSB number and account number?
A BSB number identifies the branch for your Australian account. It’s used for local money transfers. An account number is the specific identification number for bank accounts.
What you need to do
Use your new BSB and account number for all AUD deposits to Kraken from 11th February 2025 onward. Your PayID account details will stay the same.
Stay Alert for Scams
Please be vigilant of scam attempts. Scammers may contact you for your personal information, or ask you to transfer money to another account. To stay safe, remember:
•
Your new BSB and account number will be available only when you’re logged in on/after 4th February 2025
•
Kraken will not send this information via email, chat, or phone.
•
Be skeptical of unsolicited communications and always verify caller/sender identity.
•
Protect your personal information and never share your login details.
•
Avoid suspicious links and never download software from anyone claiming to be Kraken.
•
Kraken will never ask you to move money to another account.
•
Emails from Kraken will always have the @kraken.com domain name at the end of them. This includes sub-domains such as @email.kraken.com. (Verify this with this email!)
Any transfers using your old BSB and account number will be processed until March 21, 2025. To avoid disruptions, please start using your new BSB and account number immediately for all AUD deposits. From March 21, 2025, deposits to the old BSB will not be accepted by us.
