Kraken Pro is a professional trading interface that is available to all Kraken clients at no additional cost. The charting capabilities are open to anyone who goes to trade.kraken.com but you need to be signed into your Kraken account if you want to use the trading capabilities of Kraken Pro.
The main feature of Kraken Pro is that it offers highly customizable charts so you can view every currency pair available on Kraken any way you would like. This includes different chart styles, overlays, indicators, and drawing tools that can be combined to create thousands of unique combinations. Whether you prefer having a chart full of information such as the Ichimoku cloud, SMA, and RSI or prefer a minimalistic chart, you can configure the platform however you like. You can also set browser alerts for price and/or volume levels and have your trades and orders displayed directly on the chart.
Here is the default view you see when you first go to Kraken Pro, with the 11 language options shown at the bottom left:
You can also simplify your charts by removing elements (for example indicators) you don't want. Here is a chart with all of the indicators and overlays removed, shown with the “Albuquerque” theme:
You can expand the panels shown on the right side of the chart in order to see more information on the depth chart, order book, or your watch list, and you can place orders using the order form. The order form also shows any open orders, positions, and your recent trade history for the currency pair the chart is displaying:
You can also use the Markets View to get an update on all pairs that Kraken supports:
A very useful feature of Kraken Pro is the ability to visualize your past trades or current open orders directly on the chart. Buy orders will be displayed as a green dot, and sell orders as a red dot. When you hover over one of these dots the difference between the trade price and the current market price is displayed on the y-axis:
Similarly, open orders and positions are displayed on the y-axis as unfilled red or green dots for orders and filled dots for open positions. Sells will be red and buys will be green. Clicking these will allow you to modify the order or position once it pops up in the order form.
