So you’re interested in utilizing the Cryptowatch platform. While you can utilize the platform’s advanced charting tools without creating an account, signing up unlocks many valuable new features like Portfolio view, syncing your watchlist across devices, and for premium users, the ability to trade and receive SMS alerts for price and volume.
To get started, click the “Create Account” button in the top left corner of the interface. You will be taken to a page where you can enter your account email, username, and password. You’ll also have the option to receive product updates via email.
After inputting this information, you will be asked to add a phone number to your account. Doing this will allow you to receive price and volume alerts as well as order fill notifications via SMS. We will not use your phone number for marketing purposes. This step is optional, but if you wish to add a phone number, be sure to include the country code. For a U.S. number this would look like +12223334444.
Once added, click the “Submit” button, and if the number was successfully added, click “Continue.”
Next, you'll want to link any exchange accounts you might have with your Cryptowatch account. At this time, Cryptowatch supports 8 exchanges for trading and Portfolio tracking:
- Coinbase Pro
In addition, the platform supports 4 additional exchanges for Portfolio tracking only:
To link your Cryptowatch account with these exchanges, you will need to generate an API key on each exchange and enter the key, secret, and, depending on the exchange, an additional passphrase or customer ID on Cryptowatch. This information can be imported into your Cryptowatch account via the Exchange Keys menu, found in your account settings.
It's important to note that your Cryptowatch account type can be found under the Subscription menu. All Cryptowatch accounts are initially provided with a free 14-day trial of the Basic subscription, enabling you to receive SMS alerts for price, volume, and order fills, as well as trading capabilities across the supported exchanges. Once the free trial ends, your account will return to the Free subscription.
If, however, you wish to continue your Basic subscription or upgrade to Pro, you can input your billing information in the same Subscription menu. For more details on the account types and the features included with each, please review the Cryptowatch Pricing page.
