"Internal error" when signing up / creating an account

An "Internal error" may occur on the signup form for the following reasons:

• The username contains "kraken".
• The username is already taken.
• The email address already has an account associated with it.
• The password is not secure enough.

Make sure to check our username requirements and password requirements and try again.
