Fidor Bank will wind down its operations by mid-2024.
We are working closely with Fidor to organize a seamless transition of our operations away from Fidor. Currently, we are no longer displaying the EUR deposit methods Fidor Bank (SEPA) and Fidor Bank (Wire Transfer) on the funding pages. However, you may continue to deposit funds as usual to the Fidor Bank account, in case you have stored the bank account details in your online banking portal. On your funding page, you should see the EUR deposit methods Clear Junction (SEPA & SEPA Instant), Bank Frick (SEPA) and Bank Frick (SWIFT). We will communicate to you in a timely manner when the funding option via Fidor will be discontinued.
If you have a bank account with Fidor Bank AG in Germany, you will be able to deposit and withdraw EUR from your Kraken account near-instantly.
To fund your account with this near-instant funding option, please choose the deposit method Fidor Bank AG (SEPA) on your Kraken account funding tab and use this information to initiate a deposit from your Fidor on-line bank account. The deposit will be processed near-instantly regardless of whether you are initiating it as standard SEPA transfers or via the functionality Freunden Geld senden (“send money to friends”).
For near-instant withdrawals to your Fidor bank account, please choose the withdrawal method Fidor (SEPA) on your Funding tab to initiate the EUR withdrawal.
During times of high transaction volumes, Fidor-to-Fidor deposits may experience delays up to 2 hours. If you experience a delay of more than 2 hours, please contact Support.
