Withdrawal hold
Certain deposits, such as first time ACH purchases, debit or credit card purchases or digital wallet purchases will trigger a temporary (72 hour) withdrawal hold on the account, for security purposes.
If you are unable to withdraw your funds — such as US Dollar (USD), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Euro (EUR) or Canadian Dollars (CAD) — there may be several reasons for this.
You may see a "Balance is insufficient for a withdrawal" error or the withdrawal page may say that your funds are "Withheld" or that withdrawals are blocked.
Check the following:
Solution: cancel the open orders.
An example is if you hold both Pound sterlings (GBP) and eurozone euros (EUR) in your account, you can't withdraw the total amount in a single US Dollars (USD) withdrawal.
Solution: exchange your balances to the currency you want to withdraw.
Solution: close the open spot positions on margin.
Solution: deposit funds in the currency that has a negative balance or exchange other currencies to make up for the negative balance.
