Fiat currency deposit fees

Please be aware that SWIFT (SMBC) EUR and USD deposits were disabled at 11:59 PM (JST) on March 20, 2018. Any deposits not received by this time were returned to the sending bank.

Payments partners that we work with charge us fees for deposits in fiat currencies we support. Fees are listed on the deposit pages specific for each fiat currency, but we also keep the fees publicly available and up-to-date. Below are the deposit fees as of 12-03-2018.

Fiat Currency  Method Fees
Euro (EUR) SEPA bank transfer Free
Euro (EUR) SWIFT international wire transfer Fidor: €5 | SMBC: €10
US Dollar (USD) US domestic wire transfer $5
US Dollar (USD) SWIFT international wire transfer $10

Note that the listed fees are charged by our payments partners upon processing received deposits, but it may be that your bank charges you fees for carrying out transactions to our payments partners. Intermediary or correspondent banks (banks between your bank and our bank that processes the transaction in transit) may also charge fees or convert the transaction to a different currency en route. These fees are on the account of the sender and the responsibility of the sending bank.

* Please note for Canadian Dollar wire transfers, any bank that handles CAD funds can apply fees at their discretion.

Please note that the fees listed above can change without notice, and are not always current. Please login to your Kraken account to see the most current fee information listed on each deposit page.
