Kraken Terminal and Cryptowatch are two separate platforms. Though they look and function similarly, Kraken Terminal is only available to Kraken clients while Cryptowatch is useful for all traders.

Kraken Terminal is specifically tailored to the Kraken exchange — only Kraken markets are available, and multi-exchange features like Cryptowatch’s Portfolio page are not included. Many of Cryptowatch’s features beyond the charting interface are not included in Kraken Terminal.

Cryptowatch is a trading terminal designed to be your go-to tool for trading across many of the top exchanges. See our article “What is Cryptowatch?” for more information on the platform. 

Kraken clients interested in Cryptowatch can create a Cryptowatch account if they wish to utilize the full functionality of the platform. As detailed below, features vary depending on the account type.

Cryptowatch's core functions — basic portfolio monitoring and visual trading — are completely free. For higher-level features, Cryptowatch has moved to a new on-demand payment system called Cryptowatch Credits. Rather than bundling higher features into paid account tiers, you can now select which features you use and pay for them specifically.

All Kraken clients may use the Kraken Terminal platform at no additional cost. While Kraken Terminal uses the same interface as Cryptowatch, it does not include all of the features available on Cryptowatch.
