Getting started with Kraken TV

Kraken TV brings live crypto markets and news to your Apple TV or Android TV. This article covers what's included and how to install it.

Markets view — track crypto, xStocks, or a mix of both.
Read-only — Kraken TV doesn't support trading or show your personal account data. It's designed as a display, not a trading terminal.

On your Android/Google TV, go to the Google Play Store.
Search for Kraken TV. Be careful to select the official Kraken app — there are lookalike apps in the Play Store using a similar name.
Tap Install.
Turn on automatic updates so you always have the latest version.

Can I trade from Kraken TV?

No. This release is read-only by design — it's built for viewing markets, not placing trades.

Will Kraken TV show my portfolio or account data?

No private account data is available on Kraken TV at this time.

What if my TV isn't listed as supported?

Unfortunately, if you don't have Apple TV or Android TV, you cannot download Kraken TV.

Is Kraken TV free, or do I need to subscribe and pay?

Kraken TV is free to download and use. No account is required.

Are prices and charts real-time?

Prices and charts may be delayed by up to 90 seconds. A warning is displayed on-screen to indicate this.

Can I choose which crypto assets I view and the chart timeframes?

Yes. Tap the gear icon to choose which assets you'd like to display — up to 6 crypto assets and 6 xStocks assets from Kraken's catalog.

Can I set a notification if the BTC price reaches a certain level?

There are no notifications or price alerts available at this time.
