Kraken Prop Notifications

Kraken Prop sends notifications to keep you informed about important account events, from order fills to drawdown breaches. Here's what to expect and how notifications work across platforms.

Purchase and account creation

  • Evaluation purchased successfully
  • Trading account created and ready to use

Trading activity

  • Limit order filled
  • Stop loss triggered
  • Take profit triggered

Note: Market orders and other immediately executing orders do not generate separate fill notifications.

Account status changes

  • Account breached (includes the reason, timestamp, and equity at the time of breach)
  • Evaluation passed / profit target hit
  • Funded account activated and ready to trade

Payouts

  • Payout approved and funds transferred to your Kraken wallet
  • Payout rejected (includes the reason)

Verification and agreements

  • Prompt to complete full verification for funded account eligibility
  • Prompt to check your email and sign the Funded Trader Agreement

Email: On by default and cannot be disabled. All major account events (purchase confirmation, breach, evaluation passed, payout decisions) are sent via email to ensure you always have a record.

Web: Browser notifications and in-app messages appear while you're using Kraken Pro on the web. These are optional and enabled by default. You can manage your preferences in your notification settings.

Mobile: Push notifications and in-app messages on the Kraken Pro mobile app. These are optional and enabled by default. You can manage your preferences in your device and app notification settings.

If you have multiple Prop accounts (for example, an evaluation and a funded account), you'll receive notifications for all of them regardless of which account is currently selected.

Account labels on notifications: When a notification comes from an account that is not currently active on screen, the account name is shown before the notification text. For example: "[100K Eval] Stop loss triggered, sell 0.5 ETH @ 3,200 USD."

Persistent notifications: Notifications and pop-ups from non-selected accounts stay on screen and do not auto-dismiss on a timer. This gives you time to read them and tap to switch to that account if needed.

Cross-account alerts: You will also receive alerts for your Primary (non-Prop) Kraken account while viewing a Prop account, and vice versa. This ensures you never miss an order fill or important event on any account. The system avoids sending duplicates (for example, if a volatility alert applies to multiple accounts, you'll only see it once).
