How do I use Plaid ACH for Instant Buy using USD?

The ACH Instant Buy feature, powered by Plaid, allows you to securely connect your bank account to Kraken to make instant purchases easy. Plaid ACH is available with no processing fees and offers several benefits including higher ACH success rates compared to other ACH providers.
The ACH Instant Buy feature will allow you to connect your bank account once through Plaid on either the deposit or instant purchase flow. Once connected, you will be able to deposit, withdraw, and buy crypto without additional logins.
Please note that the seven day hold on withdrawals will apply to any assets in cash or cryptocurrency, equal to the deposited amount. The withdrawal hold does not apply to trading.

Sign into your account, tap Trade, then tap Buy, and search for the asset you wish to purchase.

Once you found your asset, fill out the amount you wish to purchase.

Tap Pay With and then Add payment method and then Connect bank account.

Link your bank account by following the Plaid linking process. You will only need to do this step the first time.

Once you have linked your bank account, it will show in the Pay with section.

Tap the arrow to continue. Make sure your details are correct. You will also need to acknowledge the 7 day withdrawal hold disclaimer. You can then tap Confirm.

You have successfully activated ACH Instant Buy!
The estimated processing time for ACH Instant deposits through Plaid is near instant.

To use Plaid ACH for instant buy, your Kraken account must meet the following requirements:

Your Kraken account must be verified.

Your Kraken account must be located in the United States.
- •
The name on the bank account you are funding from must match the name on your Kraken account.

Your bank must be located in the United States and a US-based bank supported by Plaid.
There are no additional deposit fees for using Plaid ACH. Standard instant buy, sell and convert fees still apply when trading.

You may be asked to relink your bank account details.

Follow the link your bank account by following the Plaid linking flow.

Continue from step 4 of the ''How to purchase via the Kraken app'' section to link your bank account.
Plaid limits are dynamic and may adjust over time with continued product usage. In most cases, this means that your limits will increase the more that you use Kraken.
Limits are determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to: your payment method, country of residence, how long you’ve had a Kraken account, and your transaction activity. Limits reset on a rolling weekly basis. You are also limited to a number of successful transactions per 24 hour period.
Recurring Buys
Recurring Buys allow you to automate your cryptocurrency investments on a regular schedule (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).

Tap Trade and then Buy.

Next, select the asset, frequency, and amount you want to invest.

Tap on add payment method, and select connect bank account via Plaid.

You’ll then be directed to link your bank account via Plaid. Follow the instructions on your screen.

That's it! Your recurring buy will be activated.
Yes, you can manage, pause, or cancel your Recurring Buys at any time through your Kraken account settings.
If there are insufficient funds, your scheduled Recurring Buy may fail. It’s best to ensure your account has enough balance before the transaction date to avoid interruptions.
There are no funding fees. However, transaction fees still apply when making trades or transfers.
