Backing up your Kraken Wallet

The correct backup method depends on your wallet type.

    Go to Settings.

    Tap Backup.

  3. 3

    Select the backup method: Cloud Backup or Recovery Phrase.

    For Recovery Phrase, reveal and write down the recovery phrase in the correct order, and store it somewhere private and offline.

    For Cloud Backup, enter a strong password and tap Back Up This Wallet.

    Go to Settings.

    Tap Backup.

    Select Export Embedded Keys.

    Select the embedded wallet you want to export.

  5. 5

    Authenticate and follow the prompts to reveal the private key.

Never share a recovery phrase, private key, or cloud-backup password. Kraken cannot recover any of them for you.
