Create a wallet on Kraken Wallet

Kraken Wallet lets you create a seed phrase wallet or set up an embedded wallet using a supported sign-in method.

Make sure your device has a screen lock, passcode, or biometric authentication enabled. Kraken Wallet uses your device security to protect access to the app.

    Open Kraken Wallet and tap Get Started.

    Select Create Wallet.

  3. 3

    Follow the prompts to secure the app with your device authentication.

  4. 4

    Write down your secret recovery (i.e. seed) phrase in the exact order shown.

    Store the recovery phrase somewhere private and offline.

      For best security practices, consider manually writing down your recovery phrase on a physical object such as a piece of paper (which you can laminate and keep in a fireproof safe or safety deposit box) or a metal solution such as Cryptosteel or Blockplate.

      Important: Do not take a screenshot of your recovery phrase, nor email or text it to yourself, or generally store it anywhere on your device unless storing in an encrypted password manager.

    Complete the confirmation steps to finish setting up your wallet.

Your recovery phrase controls your seed phrase wallet. Kraken cannot view, recover, or replace it. Never share it with anyone, including someone claiming to be Kraken Support.

    Open Kraken Wallet and tap Get Started.

    Continue with an available sign-in method, such as email, Google, Apple, or passkey.

  3. 3

    Complete the sign-in and device-security prompts.

An embedded wallet can be used across supported devices after you sign in. Dogecoin wallets are available only with seed phrase wallets.
